Matrimonio a Cervo in Riviera ligure
Alberto and Louise wished to get married at the seaside: that is why they decided to celebrate their wedding in the Ligurian Riviera, more precisely in Cervo, a characteristic village perched on the sea.
They chose a sensational church — the Church of Saint John the Baptist in Cervo, better known as the Chiesa dei Corallini (Corallites' Church): it is said, in fact, that it was built a long time ago thanks to the proceeds from the sale of the corallites made by the fishermen who lived on those shores. A popular belief is linked to the wonderful panorama enjoyable from its churchyard: tradition has it that every bride, before walking down the aisle towards the groom, turns one last time towards the bay; as their gaze sets on the panorama, a sense of peace and beauty overwhelms them, they take a deep breath and thus find the strength to move without uncertainty towards their beloved. Louise as well, who looked stunning in her Vera Wang dress, found the courage to walk towards Alberto with eyes full of love.
White and coral were the main protagonists in the wedding's palette. As wonderful and fragrant peonies in coral shined, some succulent plants gave to the composition even more liveliness: the bride was so in love with them, that she decided to have them even in the bouquet!
The wedding reception took place in a prestigious seaside resort of the area, entirely rearranged for the couple just for the occasion: beach umbrellas and sun beds were removed from the beach and, in their place, characteristic square white wooden sofas with cushions were positioned; the tent structures were draped by miles of white linen gauze that fluttered to the sea breeze and, as the sun set, hundreds of hanging candles made the atmosphere incredibly romantic. The cake was cut on the beach, under a white gazebo surrounded by wooden boxes full of fruit. Just as they ere cutting it, some beautiful fireworks lit up the sky and the sea from behind the gazebo, making the eyes of all the guests shine!
